Jay Haide violins have a fine international reputation and have won many medals in violin making competitions. The violins are a fusion of Jay Ifshin and Haide Lin representing a real fusion of East and West (USA and China) , with the result being violins that look as beautiful as they sound.
Their violins come to be in raw form and need *a lot* of setup work, which also gives me an opportunity to customise them. The violins are made to traditional models from select Eastern and European timbers, depending on the model. The instruments are known for their authentic looking antiquing and are excepetionally responsive to play. I typically fit with a 3 * bridge, Il Cannone strings and a wittner tail piece.
