Alois Sandner German Violin

This is a German violin made from the Sandner family of makers, this is from the Alois Sandner workshop and is a lovely bright instrument with fantastic projection.  Made of European tone woods it comes with a flamed back and sides of maple and a high quality spruce top. This is an intermediate/ advanced instrument in every sense of the word They are shipped without fittings so need considerable work to have them ready for sale. This allows for flexibility to tailor the instrument to the individual and also by the seller.

When I set these up I tend to use Thomastik Dominants or Larsen Il Cannon strings to keep the brightness but allow the more subtle tones through. They are such a bright instrument I tend to steer away from Evah Pirazzi’s for example, and the darker strings might be a good match I have darker instruments in my store for those looking for the darker tones.

I love the sound it reflects well the clean lines of the instrument, the restrained flame on the back and the elegance of the scroll. I see this as an instrument only, am happy to customise the strings and lots going to depend on you what case and in particular what bow suits your playing style.
