The Luthier series of violins from First Strings are a step into the professional class of instruments, but without the price tag. They feature tight grained spruce tops and highly figured maple for the back and sides. The luthier 6, 8 and 10 are timbers that have been aged for 6, 8 and 10 years respectively. These timbers are of a much higher quality and have this time to further mature for rich deep tones. The finish is a tasteful hint of antiquing that ensures coulours as rich as they sound and no two violins are the same. These violins are entrusted to only the most senior of makers in the workshop ensuring optimal resonace and tonal balance.
These instruments come to me body only, which I setup with quality bridges (3*), wittner tail piece and strings like Il Cannone from Larsen ..or strings of your choice.
