I accept all major EFTPOS and credit cards through the Square platform (which also includes Afterpay) and an electronic receipt for your (and my) convenience – I’d rather work on violins than do bookkeeping.
All repairs done and violins sold come with statutory warranties. I offer 3 months warranty on secondhand instruments and year on new instruments. If something happens after that period I can usually work something out. Violins
Broken strings are probably the exception, as they are particularly susceptible to tuning misadventure. One exception, if it’s a secondhand instrument (and the strings haven’t been replaced because i thought they were good), I will usually replace if they break in the first few weeks, as its hard to tell when they will go (even after inspection).
Recently Square platform has allowed me to offer Afterpay (Have now pay later). I’m not a particular fan, but for something like a violin thats an investment its the right fit for some people. Afterpay has regular payments over 6 weeks. To use after pay you need to install the Afterpay App on your phone and can use it like a credit card thereafter. This is the part I’m not a fan of, once its on your phone…. your hooked!!! Anyways Afterpay charges me 6% if you pay this way. So I’ll meet you half way and ask a 3% surcharge on Afterpay purchases.
