By popular request here is a list of my most commonly stocked items and repairs as at March 2026.
Preamble (scroll down to get to the $$$)
Sources: All of my instruments are sourced from identical wholesalers that the big shops use, together with more eclectic instruments I source and restored antiques. I price my instruments at RRP (recommended retail prices) and focus on quality of setup/sound rather than lowest price. So while you may see them cheaper from online music shops they likely won’t have set them up properly and customised the fit. NOTE if you source them elsewhere, you are welcome to bring them to me to have them setup properly or according to what your teacher says.
Brands: In the music industry you will see a lot of different brands to what I have, aside from the department store VSO brands (avoid like the plague). Music shops tend to put their own labels in instruments so they can charge more to cover overheads/upgrades and stop brand/price comparisons between stores. It’s a business decision I get it, I just choose not to do it …(see my article on explaining instrument branding)
In my list below are instrument prices, they are generally package prices (bow, case rosin, instrument) until you reach the advanced instruments, where the player is likely upgrading and already have other things, or have specific preferences for cases and bows. Thus it makes it better to just sell the instrument.
All of these instruments I can depending on the season and availability and usually have some secondhand instruments I bring up to spec as well. I don’t have the big buying power to stock everything and I vary my stock, Scroll down to find out more about each model.
